Problem:
Poor Absorbance Accuracy
Common causes:
Detector nonlinearity
Signal clipping (i.e. analog signal bigger than analog to digital converter range)
Processing problems
Suggestions:
Re-linearize detector pre-amplifier.
Reducing the amount of light in the system can also improve detector linearity, turn down signal gain, or increase scan speed.
Try a different apodization function.
Wavelength Accuracy
Short hold time for detector / Broad spectral feature at 3300 cm
